Welcome to Canary Developments.

Containing Poplar, Canary Wharf, and Millwall, the Isle of Dogs has a wealth of new build apartments to buy and rent. It is an exciting place to live, but with the sheer nature of expansion and development, it can be difficult to keep track of.

There are a staggering amount of luxury high-rise developments already completed, several currently underway, and more in the pipeline. Tower Hamlets currently has the highest number of skyscrapers planned in the entirety of London, with over 84 anticipated.

This blog aims to take a look at some of the most exciting new developments in Canary Wharf and across the Isle of Dogs.

It will also revisit some existing developments, aim to provide an overview of the Isle of Dogs as a whole, and look at some unique features of the area.

Having enjoyed living, and then settling in Canary Wharf, I’ve seen my fair share of developments and how the area is changing. Yet after viewing countless old and new build apartments, speaking at length to local estate agents, developers and architects, I still didn’t really appreciate the subtle differences in the developments, and the nuances of the facilities offered until I began living here.

With a background and education in engineering, the quality of construction in the Isle of Dogs area is impressive. The technical aspects of the buildings, alongside the increasingly innovative features added, as developers compete to provide the highest standard of accommodation, make this areas evolution great to follow.
