2021 was a bumper year for Canary Wharf foodies. Cargo’s Market Hall food market opened, and the floating restaurant complex at the Water Pavilions is being fitted out for The London Project’s Canary Wharf opening later this year.
Joining in on the food and drink experience, Pergola London are bringing their popular outside inside dining combination to Canary Wharf’s Crossrail Place.
The expansive venue next to the famous Crossrail Place roof gardens is one of the largest spaces in Canary Wharf, with space for 700 guests. Opening next month, here is a brief look at what’s in store!
For first-timers, expect plenty of Pergola’s trademark plant-filled spaces and cocktails!
Pergola on the Wharf is named after the brands successful Paddington branch.
A large venue with inside and outside seating, it’s essentially a cross between a restaurant brand and a food market.
Unlike the Paddington Pergola, which houses four rotating restaurants and two bars, plans for the Canary Wharf branch differ slightly. At Crossrail Place, there is one permanent central restaurant with an open kitchen to watch your food being cooked, alongside several street food outfits.
In addition, there are three bars, live music, one-off events, and you can even book the venue for private occasions!
Once home to the Iconic Giant Robot streetfood market, Pergola Canary Wharf is located on the top floor of Crossrail Place station.
This expansive rooftop space will have inside and outside seating.
The venue is just under 10,000 square foot (ca. 929 m²) and the space for 700 guests includes a 200-seat terrace.
